The Reduced Pressure (RP) assembly is the workhorse of high-hazard protection. It uses two independent check valves plus a relief valve, so even if both checks fail, contaminated water is dumped to the ground rather than pulled back into the drinking supply.
Because it guards against the worst-case hazards, the RP is what most commercial buildings, irrigation systems with chemical injection, and properties with boilers or process equipment are required to have, and California Title 17 requires it tested and certified annually.
Commercial properties, sites with chemical injection (fertigation), boilers, medical/lab equipment, or any high-hazard cross-connection.
California Title 17 (and Sacramento-region purveyors) require this assembly to be tested and certified by a registered tester once a year, with the result filed with your water district.
We match you with a certified, county-registered tester who handles the test and the filing. Free to get matched.
